AREAS OF INTEREST IN RESEARCH
Physiology and physiopathology of vascular venous muscle with focus
on the study of the reactivity of the venous smooth muscle
Within the discipline, I completed the experimental model of investigation
of the reactivity of the smooth muscle of the human saphenous vein;
the model set up the basis for my PhD dissertation;
The analysis of the parameters of the capacity of antioxidant defence
of blood (superoxidedismutasis and reduced glutathione) in the varicose
disease;
The physiology and physiopathology of venous circulation;
In parallel, I took part as a member of the work group in the studies
developed within the discipline dealing with the reactivity of the tracheo-bronchial
smooth muscle at rats, guinea pigs, and humans.
In collaboration with Prof. Dr. Virgil Paunescu, upon a short visit
at the University of Medicine from Marseilles, France (July 2001), I
contributed to the initiation of a culture of endothelial cells of human
umbilical vein at the laboratory of the Centre of Immunophysiology and
Biotechnologies from Timisoara;
The study of plasticization of human stem cells: the research of endothelial
stem cells and of the transdifferentiation of the stem cell in cardyomyocyte.
